What is Rope Access?
Industrial climbing is another name for rope access. It is a task that requires expertise in techniques used in caving and climbing that allows the workers to access the locations which are not easy to access with the help of aerial work platform, scaffolding, or cradles. The ropes can be ascended, descended, or traversed to reach different places while working suspended through the harnesses. Very often work seats are used for difficult tasks to be performed. The ropes are strong enough to prevent any kind of fall but there is a fall arrest system for back-up in case of any mishap. So there are two ropes attached to the person, one working rope and the other safety rope.
